The name "MedAvant" comes from the root words "Med," literally meaning "to take appropriate measures," and "Avant," meaning "before", "in front of" or "leading." The full "MedAvant" (pronounced Med-A-Vaunt) translates into 'to take appropriate measures ahead of others in the healthcare industry."
